Using this website and joining the event

By using this website or registering for the AI Hackathon, you agree to these terms. Event participation is open only to applicants who meet the eligibility requirements published by HumAIne.ae. Participants under 18 may be required to provide consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Registration does not guarantee acceptance or attendance. Places may be limited, and HumAIne.ae may verify information, select participants, organize teams, and update the schedule, venue, format, challenge, prizes, or event rules when reasonably necessary. Material changes will be communicated through the available contact details.

Participants must act respectfully, follow venue and safety rules, comply with applicable law, and submit original work or properly disclose third-party tools and materials. HumAIne.ae may remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, dishonest, unlawful, or harmful to other participants.

Participant likeness and project media consent

Participants retain ownership of their original project work. Subject to any consent required by applicable law, each participant gives HumAIne.ae and its official event media partners permission to photograph, film, and record the participant personally during the event. This permission expressly covers the participant’s face, physical likeness, name, voice, interviews, statements, presentations, participation, and appearance alongside teammates, mentors, judges, sponsors, and event attendees.

Participants also permit HumAIne.ae to photograph, film, demonstrate, and showcase their project, including its name, description, interface, prototype, pitch, presentation, and recorded demonstration. HumAIne.ae and its official event media partners may edit, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute this participant and project material in event recaps, reports, websites, social-media posts, press and public-relations materials, sponsor communications, and other digital or printed promotional material relating to HumAIne.ae and the hackathon.

Where a participant is under 18, this permission is subject to consent from their parent or legal guardian. Nothing in this section transfers ownership of a participant’s original project to HumAIne.ae.

Limitation of liability, property, and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UAE law, HumAIne.ae, its organizers, volunteers, venue providers, partners, and event sponsors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damage, loss, or injury arising from or relating to a participant’s involvement in the event or presence at the venue.

Participants are responsible for all personal property, equipment, devices, and valuables they bring to the event. HumAIne.ae assumes no responsibility or liability for personal belongings that are lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced.

Participants—and, for participants under 18, their parent or legal guardian—agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HumAIne.ae, its organizers, venue owners, and event sponsors against claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses resulting from the participant’s breach of these terms, misconduct, or negligence during the event.

Prizes, judging criteria, and submission requirements will be described in the event rules. Judges’ decisions are final to the extent permitted by law. The website and event information are provided in good faith, but HumAIne.ae does not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every published detail will remain unchanged.
